This is a wonderful vintage Guy Laroche Paris tweed jacket made most likely during the 1980s.  The jacket has pads in the shoulders, a jewel neckline and closes with five black plastic buttons down the front.  It has a pocket at the left chest and is tailored to accentuate the waist.  It is fully lined in black acetate.

Label: Guy Laroche Paris Boutique Made in France.  Guy Laroche (1923-1989) was a renowned French designer who began his career in 1949 working for Parisian couturier Jean Desses.  He established his own fashion house during the mid-50s and was one of the first French designers to create separates.  He opened his first boutique in 1961, his second boutique in 1973 and opened additional boutiques in 1974, so this piece would have been designed for sale in one of those boutiques.

Fabric: no content label but most likely pure wool tweed woven in a herringbone pattern

Color:  Black and off-white
